THE PRODUCTION CYCLE

The Company is structured in the form of an industrial group and a series of activities and the processing procedures, controlled by the parent company, Italvelluti, represent a complete production cycle that has gradually developed and became more vertical over the years.
The Group runs three factories in the industrial district of Montemurlo (the first textile district in the province of Prato), including two textiles mills, one specialized in synthetic velvet and one in Jacquard fabrics. There is also a weaving division and a yarn and fibre warehouse that controls and decentralizes the entire logistics chain dedicated to serving internal and external textiles mills
The entire production cycle is then moved to the final inspection units in the raw materials division, which works closely with the new finishing division, recently equipped with a special line for spreading, resin-coating and drying the fabrics.
The finishing division is also equipped with two laminating lines, the most recent of which uses advanced technology and has been fine-tuned to meet Italvelluti’s personalized production needs.
Final quality controls are made on special rolling machines whose station is directly connected with the automatic packaging line.
The same factory where the shipping and finishing lines are located also has a fully-equipped laboratory that oversees the quality standard of new products and production in addition to receiving the various dyes that the in-house research and development and technical department has to offer. This activity was recently reinforced with a modern automatic system for Lab-Dip dyeing (sample making).
The Group structure is completed by the administrative offices which represents the third facility of the Group. All the administrative activities, especially the information services, are personalized and executed through this structure which also acts as a connection point between facilities and with the foreign sales branches (Poland and Spain) via on-line links.
